Shipping
We ship within Canada and use Purolator and can use Canada Post but do not recommend Canada Post. Shipping rates are determined by the courier and not us personally. We have no control over shipping rates.
We ship out on Mondays and Tuesdays and will from time to time ship out on a Wednesday if we can overnight your order to you. Once your eggs leave our care we have zero control over how they are handled, temperature, rough handling and how the eggs are stored before setting in the incubator can all effect hatch rates.
The eggs we collect for shipping are no more than 3 days old when we ship them out.
We do not guarantee fertility rates or hatch rates on eggs.
Eggs are purchased at the buyers risk and in purchasing eggs with us you agree to and understand our terms.
Picking Up Eggs
Eggs that are picked up will be anywhere from 1 - 6 days old. We do not guarantee fertility or hatch rates on eggs. Eggs are purchased at the buyers risk and in purchasing eggs with us you agree to and understand our terms.
Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of hatching eggs we CAN NOT give a guarantee on hatch rates. With so many factors effecting your eggs during transit and incubation your hatch rates could be anywhere from 0%-100%. We conduct fertility tests regularly and set hatches almost weekly here. When we set hatches on the farm we see 90%-100% fertility and 80%-100% hatch rates. Again hatching eggs are not guaranteed and you could see anywhere from 0% - 100% hatch rate.
We do not issue refunds for poor hatch rates and we do not accept returns on eggs. Due to our bio-security policy all live birds are also final sale as we can not accept live birds back on the farm.
By you purchasing your eggs and live poultry with us, you understand and agree to our terms.
Day Old Chick Pickup
When you order chicks or live birds from us you are asking us to create life on your behalf. We require a 40% deposit for live birds as this allows us to move forward with your order. We set eggs in our incubator at YOUR request and can not set eggs to create life for your order without the security of your deposit. We do not set eggs in the incubator for the farm unless we have planned to take on the extra life being created.
We set our hatches to fall on weekends for a more convenient pickup.
We do encourage that all chicks hatched here on the homestead be picked up on your scheduled pickup date.
If you are unable to make your pickup please let us know ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly with you for an alternate pickup date.
