To provide the best possible shipping experience, we prefer to use Purolator whenever available. In our experience, Purolator offers dependable service, reliable transit times, and careful handling, helping to reduce the stress and risks associated with shipping fertile hatching eggs. All hatching eggs are securely packaged using protective made to order foam shippers and are shipped only when weather and fertility conditions are suitable. We can ship up to 4 dozen eggs per box. While every effort is made to ensure eggs arrive safely, customers should understand that shipping fertile eggs carries inherent risks that may affect hatchability. At this time, we do not ship live chicks or adult birds. The welfare of our poultry remains our highest priority, and we have chosen to focus exclusively on local pickup options for live birds while we continue to evaluate safe and practical shipping solutions. Looking ahead, we are actively exploring air transportation options for started pullets and cockerels in future seasons. Our goal is to expand access to our breeding stock while maintaining the high standards of care, biosecurity, and animal welfare that define the Birch Acres Homestead program.
