Chick orders are scheduled around predetermined hatch dates throughout the season. These hatch dates allow us to effectively manage our breeding program while providing customers with ample time to prepare their brooders, supplies, and housing before their chicks arrive. Most chicks offered for pickup are hatched specifically to fulfill customer reservations. While we occasionally have additional chicks available beyond our scheduled orders, availability of these extras cannot be guaranteed and is typically offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Depending on the hatch date and pickup arrangements, chicks may be anywhere from one day to two weeks of age at the time of collection. All chicks receive attentive care during this period, including access to appropriate nutrition, clean housing, and careful monitoring to ensure they get the best possible start. We encourage customers to have their brooder fully prepared before pickup day so their new chicks can transition smoothly into their new environment. Scheduled hatch dates and pickup arrangements help ensure a positive experience for both our customers and the birds entrusted to their care.
